Sadly, this law firm is the only divorce lawyer in the area that's truly local. This means that they can pick and choose their cases. If you have an extremely simple no-fault divorce and you want to do all the legwork. These guys are for you. If you have ANY complexity at all, they'll dump you with all the condescending scorn they can muster. The experience of going to this law firm for help when I'm in abusive situation invalidated me completely. They were unwilling to even answer basic questions. They literally laughed at me. It was a mistake to even contact them.

Caryn Waxman and her staff were incredibly helpful when I needed to dissolve my same sex Civil Union. I found it extremely difficult to find an Attorney who understood the logistics of navigating laws regarding same sex Civil Unions and Dissolution of same....particularly when myself and the Defendant live in two different states and the Civil Union took place in yet a 3rd state! Ms. Waxman generously walked me through the right steps, all the while answering a myriad of my questions on multiple occasions. Ms. Barber handled my recent divorce which was complicated due to the long length of the marriage.
