The "consultation" is a complete scam. After already gaining legal advice and consultation from a different firm, the best course of action was my spouse and I to get married, and start the process for immigration. However we wanted to also check other firms and see if they may say anything different. The first almost 20 minutes was Mr Benzoni saying every negative thing under the sun with the most pessimistic and negative tones. There's a difference between being honest about the difficulties and being flat out disheartening. I honestly got concerned because his tone, attitude, and the way he was going about all this straight from the start gave me little to no faith with this firm. And I confronted him on that, asking if I could get some positive expression about the process of any kind. It felt so defeatist right out the gate and why in gods name would I hire a firm that has that kind of attitude? Benzoni started with ignoring my inputs, constantly insinuating I was ignorant of the process, berating me for not going to him or getting legal advice first. Then when I finally corrected him (this was after several minutes of talking at me, not to me.) His tone hard shifted and jumped straight to telling me I can go to the other law firm instead if I want to. I tried to tell him that I came to him on recommendation from a friend at work who immigrated to the US through him. I tried my best to deescalate the situation. (which is insane that a potential client has to be the one to calm down the attorney) I had questions I needed to ask in order to best plan things out and figure out what needed to be expected and what the fees would look like going forward. Other than the initial fee of $2500, we weren't even able to cover the details for after the i130, where I'd have asked if they were going to continue along with us after that point or not, because he got so caught up on trying to shove me off of the call, he kept telling me about his extensive experience in this field, and i even acknowledged he had experience and would know more than me, but i'm not going to just sit there, shut up, and not ask any questions. The most insane part was telling me that the very notion of my wife and I wanting to be aware of the financial impact in all this was a "red flag" because "money shouldn't matter if you really love each other. It shouldn't even matter if it costs 50k" Like dude NO, that's not about money=love it's about being FINANCIALLY PREPARED AND RESPONSIBLE! TLDR - rude, arrogant, impolite, dismissive, fragile ego - does not care about you as a person - will not answer your questions - if you or your partner go by a preferred name, he will ignore it - will berate you if you question anything - $100 "consultation" is nothing more than a scam - My first consultation with a different business was beyond more fruitful, where they gave me a full breakdown and roadmap of what the process would be like, and how they would help throughout the entire thing - In this office, If I was ignorant of everything, I would only learn essentially nothing from them except for the existence of an i130 - This was not a consultation, I demanded a refund and they ignored me and charged anyways The best advice Benzoni gave me in that call "Seek someone better" by the way, it's really telling when one of the only 5 star reviews is from a family member, or clearly not a client

Extremely rude on the phone. Seemed very arrogant and would not even answer any simple questions. I was not asking any legal advice or specifics just a very general question on average prices for immigration law services. He would only repeat two phrases over and over again: "I am very good at what I do ask anyone..." and "I charge $100 to review the case"... What a jerk. Just a complete jerk.... He might be great at what he does but he is (from my horrible experience on the phone with him) a complete jerk in my opinion. By the way the phone call could only last less than three minutes because he was just getting more and more rude with me. Good luck sir, you probably don't need it, but good luck to you.

He is a wonderful person, knowledgeable lawyer and very upfront and straightforward. He is very affordable. He is logical in his strategy and has great success on his cases. He has helped several of my friends.

By far the best immigration lawyer in the area. James's personality is interesting and he doesn't click with everyone, but honestly do you want someone to be your friend or get you approved? He is great at what he does and his prices are reasonable. He will not make you false promises and he tells it like it is.

If I could give them a lower review I would. we've had our case there for a while now and we called about a situation with the consulate. He called to insult me and my mother. He was so disrespectful he made us cry. And it takes a lot to make us cry. There are ways to communicate and Mr. Benzoni has no clue. His so called education is worthless if he doesn't know how to treat paying customers.
