I called a few weeks ago requesting a consultation after being referred here because my prior attorney does not handle T visas. During intake, I clearly stated that I was seeking a consultation to determine eligibility for a T visa and offered to submit a written statement in advance. I was told this would be acceptable and provided an email to send the document. At the consultation, the attorney was professional and thorough; however, partway through the meeting, I was informed she does not handle T visa determinations and could only refer me to a colleague. I asked a few general questions about an I-130 though I had already consulted with other attorneys on this. Afterward, I was billed for the consultation. I requested a waiver of the fee since the service I specifically sought could not be provided, but was told the fee still applied because a quote had been given. I wish I had been informed upfront that T visas could not be handled during intake, which would have saved both my time and the attorney’s. I also wish it had been made clear during the consultation that additional questions beyond the T visa discussion would still incur a fee. Because this was not communicated, I was charged for a consultation that did not address the service I requested. I do want to make note that despite my disappointment in my own experience - this firm could be great warriors for someone else. I am just disappointed I was upfront about my needs and was incorrectly guided into this consult that resulted in being charged for consulting on a service I couldn’t receive.

While my lawyer was personable, I found that there were issues with organization and follow-through, particularly regarding the filing of necessary documentation. I do not Recommend him AT ALL!
