In January of this year, my husband and I began the process of having him adopt both of my children, as their biological father was incarcerated. As a military family in the middle of a PCS out of the country, we were overwhelmed—trying to navigate the adoption process, manage the upcoming relocation, and find an attorney we could trust without draining our finances. After countless phone calls and interviews, we felt drained and hopeless. That changed the moment we were paired with Sydney Bierwirth. To say she is amazing would be an understatement. Sydney is supportive, attentive, and refreshingly straightforward. She doesn’t sugarcoat things; instead, she presents every possible outcome, then builds a clear, actionable plan for each scenario. For us, that honesty and structure made all the difference. Outside of the courtroom, she was so happy, celebrated with us, asked what we were feeling, and stayed to answer any questions while also providing clear next steps. We are forever grateful to Sydney and her team, and we cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone searching for not just an attorney, but a true advocate.
