I called but the phone number is only for Overpayment issues. Looks like they only care about overpayment not actually helping anyone. That’s the way life is. There is nothing we the people can do about it. We have to comply and obey to everything they tell us these days.

Had an issue with my filing for the past week, sent an email & got a response almost immediately. Also put in for a call back & was expecting to wait almost a week, ended up getting a call back the next morning & my issue was resolved immediately after speaking with one of their representatives. Don't understand all of the negative reviews, seems like a skill issue to me. Thank you again for all your help!

callback is a disappointment, now gotta wait til Feb 3,2026 to actually speak with somebody and it's been 2 month of filing and still haven't got my benefits nor my debit card been callin every week because there always another issue don't know why these special ed employee of labor can't answer the call. Poor management. CT Labor needs improvement too slow and not very smart on there job i guess. It's very upsetting you can't even go to the office because they will say call the number and wait 17 business day for them to help you out. Might have to put them on blast on social media maybe then they will step up there game.

I don't understand why the unemployment office have a phone number and they don't even pick up the phone. they just give you a message and hang up. that's not being considerate. that's not helping us at all. then we have to wait like 10 to 12 days to get a response to make an appointment. make that make some sense

This place is awful. The chat is A.I now, and god forbid you can talk to a human, when you go down to D.O.L the people there are confused, disorganized, chickens with no heads. No one has an answer, or at least not a clear, cut, educated one. The website doesn't have the options I'm looking for, and every tab I click brings me down another " rabbit hole" of tabs to press. They moved from hamden to new haven onto James Street and its more of a circus there than in hamden. The website is very difficult to navigate, and has no clear tab to press to get you where you need to go. I was expecting a call back today and when they called me, the promp had me listening to music for 20 minutes just for someone to pick up, hang up, and never called me back so I had to reschedule another call. Nothing is this difficult until D.O.L gets involved, just a terrible experience.
