I had a tough personal injury case (slip and fall.) I contacted Mark Kolter after my claim was denied. He was honest with me from the start about the difficulties of proving these types of cases. But after hearing me out, presenting my side of the facts, he agreed to take my case. I had 2 years of multiple surgeries on my neck and shoulder, PT, steroid injections, epidurals and on and on. It was the most painful 2 1/2 years of my life. Mark listened to me, and most importantly, believed in me. He was attentive, thorough and honest. It was a complicated and difficult case. But he guided us through it with compassion, kindness and respect. He was diligent, and with the help of the staff at the whole office, was in constant contact with us with updates and information to keep us informed on the status of our case. With his many years of experience and working dynamic relationships with professional contacts, he was able to create a relationship with opposing counsel in a respectful manner that only helped our case. After 2 1/2 years (from the date of my injury), we went to mediation and came away with a more than satisfactory settlement agreement. We could have chosen to continue to court, but with a 50/50 chance, and another year or two of court proceedings, we decided after thoughtful consideration, input from Mark and the experienced mediator, that the settlement was the best option. My wife and I appreciate all the hard work Mark and the staff at the office put in. They were all kind, compassionate and diligent in their efforts.
