De Castro Foden is full of wonderful people. Any legal type of work can be stressful and time consuming. I was helped by Ana Ferreira, but she made everything easy. She helped me through every single step, and guided me very kindly. She was always on top of any question i had. I would get a reply within minutes or early in the morning. I reached out to De Castro Foden on June 17th to see what steps I need to take to get a consultation. They sent me a link to fill out a form and a separate link to make a payment. I did those immediately and receipt a confirmation for both form and payment being completed the same day on June 17th. I waited a week and did not hear back, so naturally I called to get an update. When I spoke to receptionist they said it could take up to 7-10 business days. I gave it another week and called back since I have not received a call, email or text from the law firm. They collected my information and said they will pass it to the lawyer who will be in contact with me shortly within the week. I called again the next week and week after with the same song and dance of collecting my information and saying they’ll be in contact. It is now August 1st and I have called to received a refund but I am currently on Hold as I need to speak with the receptionist. I understand that there are several people going through similar life events, and the law firm is trying to do what they can BUT the lack of communication is disappointing coming from a lawyer and their firm. If they lack communication, it’s only natural that I doubt their ability to take the right steps in the legal process in handling cases. I recommend that they have a better system of cases received and cases being updated and updating their clients. Overall my experience or rather lack of experience from this firm for a month and half when expectations being 10 business days is a 1 star. If I could rate it a zero, I would.
