Reviews
A large firm with some turnover. Known for hiring newbies. In this case hired a senior attorney who handed off two cases to his protégé who had never been before the bench in New Hampshire. End result disastrous. The in-house real estate group is very capable, although the best partners always leave after gaining experience. We ran into several attorneys while interviewing new law firms, several who practiced law at Devine previously, each of them making reference to “a training and experience learning firm”, then they leave for greener pastures. The probate litigation team lack knowledge and tactical experience for our purpose. From experience they collectively are better at defense and not prosecution. If you expect to win or recover losses, look elsewhere. We did, and now we’re reversing damages from the inexperienced protégé at Devine. We take responsibility for not taking the opportunity to fire the firm early on. While interviewing new law firms for a superior group who handle estate planning, real estate law, ability to litigate on law, win in court based on law, and hold others accountable, we’ve found our superior experienced attorneys at another five star firm. Also, never rely solely on reviews, although make note of those firms that engage in client reviews, negative or positive. There’s much to glean from detailed quality reviews, especially reviews on experiences where the review count is high for the firm, the reviews represent satisfaction (higher scores), and the law firm responds to all reviews. Don’t be patient hoping for results at Devine. They win, you lose. Onward.
Jeffrey Adams is completely incompetent. I had a legal issue I requested him to negotiate and he could not pick up the phone to call the other lawyer. Each time he talks to me he said the other lawyer wanted to negiote but he just forgot to call to do it himself. He charge me 7,000 . He was so late to call the other side we had to respond to the claim. Then he charged me 3,000 to write one letter which was nothing I wanted to write. He did not understand the legal ramifications of an scorp. Oh and he sometimes would not return a call for 1 week . Completely incompetent - I say RUN to get another lawyer.
Over the past two decades, I have used this law firm from many different legal matters, business and personal. Not a big client. Nevertheless I felt like I was important to the lawyers of this prestigious law firm.
Sarah is wonderful the staffing was great explained everything we needed to know answered all our questions and we hired them! Wouldn't go anywhere else!!!! So professional. A+
