Trump should've let the EEOC remain shut down. There is no reason at all for them to exist. I had to wait over 6 months for an intake appt. By that time I was already unfairly terminated. I provided them with doctors notes, witness statements and in time documentation of work place billing from a supervisor Joy Paunovick/ Considine. They did nothing. Then during the intake interview the representative said that 90% of the time the EEOC doesn't do anything...yeah he said that. And then said that nothing illegal happened so I couldn't do anything. Terrible experience. I wouldn't wish this on my worse enemy. The EEOC would help you with anything at all. Don't waste your time. How is bulling in the workplace ok? It never is. This company has no reason to exist

Horrible. Initial person I talked to on the phone, wrote down different things than I told them!!! So it then made it look like I was not being honest when it went to the next higher level!! Even though I told her that i DID NOT say what the other person wrote down!!!! What a joke that ordeal was! Higher up person said i shouldn't have done a certain thing while on the job..im black..I told her that a white person did the EXACT same thing! She then had no answer to that! Smh!!!

I put in to file a charge, back in the summer and they canceled my appointment 3 days before, saying I didn' t confirm my appointment, my appointment was confirmed after I sent information, on my email it was in would be called first, so I never thought to go back in my email, since I was told I would receive a phone call, so my appointment that I set up months ago for discrimination that has been going on for a long time as been treated like it should happen. Why would I be told to confirm a appointment that I set up and I never came back or receive a message until a few days before my appointment, and it was sent during the time I work and my phone isn't on because, we can't have our phones on, while at work or get on it, unless we have a extreme emergency. The way was canceled was heartless, just heartless, it took me waiting six months if waiting only to be canceled in a few days without being confirmed by anyone.

They had my documents for a month and I’m for sure they did not read any of them. I called to check on the status and Elizabeth Rodriquez emails me back 30 minutes later and says “we are unable to assist but cannot state specifics.”

My experience with the EEOC Chicago office was deeply disappointing and, frankly, negligent. I filed a discrimination complaint involving my former attorney, but the agency failed to ask the most basic and critical questions necessary for a proper investigation. The case sat open for over two years with virtually no meaningful progress. Then, without conducting a thorough review or addressing the key issues, the EEOC abruptly closed the case—effectively allowing my former employer to prevail without accountability. It became evident that the opposing legal team was relying on the EEOC’s inaction, and unfortunately, that strategy worked. The agency’s failure to act enabled a flawed outcome. I even appealed directly to Amrith Aakre, the head of the EEOC Chicago office, urging them to reconsider the case and pose the essential questions that could have shifted its trajectory. That request was denied. The omission of those critical questions ultimately cost the integrity of the investigation. If you’re expecting a diligent or proactive response from the EEOC in Chicago, you may want to reconsider. There is a reason why they have very poor rankings on Google Reviews.
