I retained Amey Cardullo through a professional recommendation last year. Unfortunately, my experience was both upsetting and disappointing. She was frequently not punctual and did not communicate effectively. She shared incorrect court times with me and failed to inform me of a scheduled court date, which resulted in my absence from a court session. Despite being clearly informed of my daughter’s objectives and needs in the custody matter, she failed to accurately and effectively represent them. At a critical stage of the proceedings, she conflated my daughter’s requests with those of the child’s father in her presentation to the court, advancing positions that were not in the best interests of my daughter, the child in the matter. She also provided incorrect legal advice. As a result, we lost a significant portion of my daughter’s child support, as well as her custody related request to the Guardian ad Litem, despite that request being consistent with the GAL’s recommendation to the judge. This outcome represented a substantial loss after a considerable investment in both GAL fees and legal fees, which were not refunded. Due to these issues, I cannot recommend her services and would not retain her again. I do not trust her professional judgment or representation.

This is the first legal team that has made me feel seen and understood. I say legal team because I often worked with the paralegal, Kate Wheeler, who has been tremendously helpful. I disagree with other comments about not being responsive, they have always been prompt, organized, and professional. When things have gotten difficult in my custody case, I have been able to lean on the advice they have given me and remember that there are people out there who actually care about me and my children. Amey Cardullo will fight for your best interests and is a great lawyer.

Unfortunately due to poor advocacy, planning, and communication, I felt I had paid for a lawyer and had no one to fight with me. Amey appears kind and thoughtful but maybe is too busy. I tried to fight against 50/50 and had little say in how my situation ended. Now I am stuck in a position of no child support and the primary/only parent as I said I would be. I have reached out for help and received no answers. It also took 2 years and reaching out several times to receive my final divorce papers. I was a stay at home mom/student only 1-2 months before my divorce and ended with no financial support and forced to hand my children to someone who had abused me for time alone for about 1 month until he stopped taking care of them. My brother called and paid a retainer up front which I had received a receipt for, when my house proceeds were split and finalized the retainer was again taken out and I was told they had never had a payment from my brother, when provided the receipt I still did not receive it back. This was over 10k for none of the results that would have been wanted or helpful. My friends have done better representing themselves.

Family legal issues are frustrating, stressful and life altering on many different levels. Unfortunately the process often feels like the "human factor" has been removed and ones voice is never heard. That is why it has been such a pleasure to meet and have the pleasure of being represented by Amey F. Cardullo, she truly understands the impact these cases have on the people behind them. I will always hold Amey in the highest regard, as an Attorney and as a person.

Amey seems like a great person I do not know for sure. But what I do know for sure is that she is a horrible lawyer. She does not communicate with her clients at all. She will tell you she's going to reach back out to you days we'll go by and you will not hear anything and then when you do try to call she will be unavailable. Since I hired Amey I feel like she has done nothing but work against me. She always sided with the opposing counsel instead of fighting an advocating for me. If you are looking to hire a divorce or child custody lawyer I recommend you stay far away from Amey
