Poor Communication and Lack of Proactive Support During Critical Visa Extension: My experience during my recent visa extension was deeply unsatisfactory. Based on a email from my organization, my extension was filed in February 19th 2025, a critical issue arose with a missing receipt notice from USCIS. When I inquired about the notice on April 7th, I was told to communicate only with my employer, leaving me without direct access to the legal team handling my case. This created a stressful information gap where neither my employer nor the firm provided clear answers. The issue escalated when I was unable to renew my driver's license after my petition expired on April 23rd. On Apr18th my employer confirmed that my attorney filed a service request and wait 30 days, a period that passed with no updates. When i reached USCIS they were not ready to disclose the information to me and they informed met that only the attorney could act on my behalf. This lack of support and communication directly resulted in my being unable to drive for over a month. I only resolved my license issue after my case was finally approved on May 13th and I received the approval notice on May 28th. I am also concerned that basic options, like retrieving the receipt notice through the USCIS online portal with access code, may not have been attempted. I expected a legal partner to help navigate challenges, but instead, I felt completely abandoned during a very stressful time.
