We are from Michigan and was looking for an attorney in Alabama after my son got some tickets while traveling thru Pell City. I found Jim Golden and read his positive reviews. I spoke with a few other attorneys but Jim made me feel supported and that he cared more than just another number. I really appreciated his confidence and how he explained what he could do to handle our case. We were able to do everything from Michigan without having the hardship of traveling back to Alabama. His staff were superb! He has an answering service with real live people. I really value great customer service and his team were very courteous and professional each time I called. Mr. Golden kept us in the loop with the court continuations and process. He was even available to personally talk to me and my son. Finding myself in need of a criminal defense lawyer for the first time was an extremely frightening, confusing and unexpected situation. Hiring Jim Golden was one of the most important decisions I have ever made, and thankfully, also turned out to be one of the best. From our first consultation, Jim never treated me like a case file to be managed. He treated me like a person whose life, and lived experiences mattered. Rather than making decisions for me, or applying judgement to the situation at hand, Jim made me feel like I was part of the team. My ideas were heard, my concerns were respected, and my fears were never dismissed or ignored. No question was too small. No conversation felt rushed. I was never made to feel like an inconvenience. I was faced with a difficult situation dealing with DHR. They were trying to take away my career and affect my life permanently. I felt hopeless and didn’t know where to turn. I gave Jim a call and the rest is history. Jim and his staff (Tailor) were kind and supportive through the entire process. I’m sure people see a decision by DHR and think that it’s final, so they just accept it. With Jim standing by my side against DHR, I felt hope again. Jim showed up for me and gave me the best defense I could’ve asked for. Thanks to Jim, DHRs decision against me was overturned. It was such a great feeling to see that letter and I cant thank Jim and his staff enough. At first I questioned whether I should spend the money to fight it, but going with Jim was the best decision I made. I finally have my life and career back.
