Reviews
We hired John and his team for my adjustment of status through marriage process and we could not be more thankful for the care and attention they paid to our case. John was extremely genuine and honest with us upfront, so we were aware of any issues we may run into and the strength of our case. John and his team were extremely professional and understanding throughout the whole process of preparing our documentation all the way up to approval. John attended our interview with us and this totally put our minds at ease. Just knowing we had such an experienced and competent lawyer with us who fully understood our case- we trusted him completely. Georgina also was very patient and professional throughout and we could approach her with any questions we had. She prepared our file meticulously. We are so grateful for everything they did for me and my husband. I highly recommend John Lawit.
My husband and I hired John and his team for a Green Card application back in November. John and his team immediately helped us get every piece of evidence we needed and all our documents in order to submit the strongest case possible. Throughout all our communications with them, they were very quick to respond (usually within 30 minutes to an hour), and always answered any calls we made. We could not have had a better legal team than this! Not only were they more affordable than other offices we went to previously, but they were professional, attentive, and helpful throughout the whole process. My husband and I just finished up our Green Card interview and got approved on the spot, all thanks to John and his team! We are very grateful and will definitely recommend this legal office. 10/10
I hired John W. Lawit to help obtain our foreign-born daughter's citizenship certificate. John and his team carefully explained our options for obtaining proof of citizenship, patiently answered all questions, and were very generous with their time. And the most important thing: they got the job done promptly and efficiently! Very highly recommended!
We called this company initially to set up an appointment. The receptionist who answered the phone gave me the details, but we decided not to move forward with them because my parents knew of a company that people were recommending. After meeting with that other company, we decided that it was best to just stick with someone within our state. My husband found this company (John W .Lawitt) so I told him I would call. I called them, not knowing I’ve called this company before, and I gave the receptionist my name. She proceeded to tell me that she had my information already and I refused to pay. I was completely shocked and taken aback at that response. I asked her ”what do you mean I refused to pay? Did you send me an invoice and I never paid it?” She said “we told you the details and you refused to pay”. Then she started reciting my information to me and said, “you refused to pay, that’s what I have in my notes. Do you want to move forward?!”. After that attitude she gave, and the implication that I would be dishonest and not pay for a service (a service I never used), I told her that I’ll get with my husband and let him know. However, I knew right then I would never go with them (even though I had all intentions to go with them and go through their whole process at this moment). After her attitude, I did not plan to move forward with this company. After telling her that I will talk to my husband, she said, “so you’re refusing to pay right?” And I said “I repeat, I’m going to speak with my husband”. Then I heard her begin to raise her voice, so I just hung up the phone. The receptionist is very rude. Beware. Edit: Upon reflection, I do remember that this was the same sub-par receptionist who told me that the first step is for us to get married to proceed with the process AFTER I already gave her the information and used the words “my husband”… meaning we are already married. THAT’S why I didn’t go with them initially, because that decreased the company’s credibility to me. And by the way Mrs. Receptionist, I don’t know who you think you were speaking with, but for your information, I can pay any fees you can come up with and more. However, I only choose to do that with people who have decency and proper customer service skills.
We hired John W. Lawit for my mother's immigration matter and their office handle it with the upmost professionalism. Communication was great during the entire process and they helped us beyond our expectations. Thank you so much for your help in our situation, we are grateful!
