I was a new independent contractor, so I had never even seen a 1099 form before and it made my head spin. So I figured I should go get my taxes done professionally to make sure they were done right. Wish I had known that they were going to COMPLETELY botch my taxes, I ended up paying in around $3,700. Come to find out this year that I overpaid by roughly $3,000. You had one job, and you messed it up big time. Clearly they don't know what they are doing with 1099 forms. If you have one I 100% recommend that you go somewhere else, and if they have done your 1099 in the past, I recommend that you go get a second opinion.
