Hiring Tamara Green was one of the most frustrating and costly mistakes I’ve ever made. We spent around $20,000 expecting competent legal representation, but what we got was laziness, poor communication, and no real advocacy. She came unprepared on the day of court, didn’t follow through on the strategies we discussed, and completely changed direction without warning. She promised we could get prior drug tests from the other party’s probation but didn’t include that in the order and never followed through. The drug tests I did receive were not valid because they weren’t sent directly from the facility to her or the court, and the other party was never held accountable. The other party had been absent from my child’s life for three and a half years, yet Tamara failed to fight for what was right. She also didn’t explain all of our legal options from the beginning, and we later found out after speaking with better counsel that there were other routes we could have taken. She rarely responded to all of our questions in emails and often required follow-ups that cost us more money. Eventually, I had to fire her and hire new counsel. It’s extremely disappointing to see families trying to do the right thing get taken advantage of by someone who clearly wasn’t in it for anything but the paycheck. I truly regret choosing her for my case and wouldn’t recommend her to anyone. First of all, we absolutely spent close to $20,000 with this firm over six months. I personally added up every bill, and the total came directly from our bank account. To claim we only spent “approximately half that amount” is completely false. Also, I was not presented with multiple legal options like they’re claiming. I was given one path to follow and that was it. I was not advised of any other strategies, and I definitely wasn’t guided properly through court. In fact, when we went to court, we basically sat in a room while the attorney I hired just went back and forth with the other side’s lawyer in what felt like a rushed mediation. She didn’t fight for me, didn’t bring up the things she told me beforehand she would fight for, and I left there feeling completely misrepresented. They say I didn’t express any concerns until after the agreement was reached, but the reality is I was trying to trust my lawyer to do her job. I didn’t “change my mind” — I realized I had been pressured into something that didn’t reflect what I was told or promised. That’s not a client changing their mind. That’s a client being let down. As far as their comments about my review being inaccurate, I stand by every word I said. And I’m not the only one. There are multiple other reviews describing the exact same experiences I had, and instead of taking accountability, this firm continues to respond by gaslighting and dismissing clients who have every right to share their honest experience. Their response only further proves my point.
Kit Compton is a Superhero! I have been on sidelines while she helped a friend in a protracted battle which seemed hopeless. She persisted and they won. She did a consult for me and helped in a complicated family/friend situation with insight and common sense. Her price is deserved, reasonable. Her office staff is supportive, compassionate and sensitive to needs of disabled. And Kit C. doesn't treat the disabled as lacking intelligence. She is the lawyer we all HOPE is out there and will help us! They will listen. You won't be sorry.
Don’t even waste your money. Tamara Green didn’t listen to the kids, she never communicated with the children and then tried to take my kids from me, their mother. She showed up once to visit my kids in an almost 2 year case. She failed to return calls and emails, she would respond with “it’s been really busy”. But she was always at home working or with her kids. She doesn’t care about your case or your specific needs. My kids were scared of their father temper issues and told me I was alienating. Such shame someone of such power holds this position and values. Use a different company, there are way better guardian ad litems.
We had a horrible experience with Tamara Green as our guardian ad litem. She was very biased from the start. She was always confused on the facts and only checked in with our kids a few times over a 1.5 year case. Then after she spoke with them she ignored everything they told her. When it came time for mediation she showed up despite not being invited, and then charged us a large amount of money after doing nothing. Avoid her at all cost!
I would highly recommend this firm for any of your legal needs! I was extremely happy with the Job my attorney did for me! She got the exact outcome I was hoping for! In fact she was able to get more than I asked for! My attorney kept me informed all throughout my case! She always returned my calls and took care of anything I needed right when I needed it! The cost was very reasonable and a lot lower than other law firms I consulted with, but they did twice the job the higher price law firms did! You won’t be disappointed, they really care about getting you what’s fair and JUST! Thank you Sincerely William E Saliabury retired US Army Ranger!
