Zack Toland represented me in a contract arbitration and I was pleased with both the representation and the outcome. He took my case seriously, understood my theory of the case, and found evidence to support it. He was fully prepared for the hearing and effectively argued the case. I can't say I enjoyed the experience or that I would like to be in need of his services again, but I was thoroughly satisfied in terms of representation.

The receptionist was unprofessional and did not understand basic legal terminology. She also misunderstood the nature of the case and treated it as something it was not. I explained that my case involved a civil tort for wrongful exclusion and property conversion. She admitted she did not know what those terms meant and then told me, “I don’t have to know those terms.” Despite that, she refused to take down my information or ask an attorney about it, saying she would not forward anything unless she knew it was a case they could take, even though she had just admitted she did not know the terms needed to determine that. Her tone throughout the call was rude and argumentative. Her lack of basic knowledge and poor demeanor prevented me from speaking with an attorney who could have assessed my case. A law firm receptionist should be able to relay client information accurately and courteously instead of making uninformed decisions that deny people access to representation.
