He is so rude and unprofessional. Like chill dude I’m not your opposing team. This old man is likely a man’s activist cuz I don’t know truly what he was so mad about, he was rude from the beginning. Maybe he was having a bad day or maybe that’s just his terrible personality. I was nothing but kind to him even though I’m going through the toughest thing in my life a divorce AND a custody battle and he’s such a jerk in the most vulnerable time someone can go through. I’m upset that I wasted PTO over being treated badly and I paid $250 for a consult where I felt unsafe, belittled, and he kept interrupting me and getting mad when I was writing notes on my phone. Sorry but not everyone carries a notebook and pencil around anymore, it’s not 1961 anymore. He will be like “are you gonna let me finish”. And he would do a deep sigh everytime I was writing notes in my phone about our consultation like I don’t have a super memory, I even told him I’m writing notes. Like wow I wouldn’t trust this guy at all with anything. He didn’t answer most of my questions during the consultation and refused to answer further questions for my case unless if I hired him, yeah never. Oh and his office reeks of cigarettes. I decided to pay $8k to go with R+E, they are more expensive than Mel but I understand why. Anyways R+E were so kind and empathetic with my situation and they are doing everything they can to fight for me.

I highly recommend Mr. Mel! Him and his staff are attentive and caring! He extremely knowledgeable and quick witted. My case was a near impossible case to win but we did! He is honest and will not give you false hope which is exactly how a lawyer should be! His staff are absolute angels. You can tell they really do care. This is one hardworking office that truly fights for justice and what is right! If I could give more stars i would. I will 100% hire Mr.Mel if I ever need a lawyer again. He is without doubt the lawyer you want to represent you!!! Thank you Mr.Mel and staff for everything yall have done for me and my family!!!

I highly recommend Mel for anyone who wants an honest, straightforward attorney. I knew the moment I met him that I could trust him. He and his paralegal, Marie, handled my divorce very professionally and always returned my phone calls promptly. They were extremely patient with me even when I had to ask the same questions multiple times. Both Mel and Marie were very attentive to my hearing impairment and need to read lips, Mel Coxwell is top notch in my book!!

I hired Mr. Coxwell for my child custody case, and I have nothing but great things to say. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable, the price was affordable and fixed rather than billed by the hour, and Mr. Coxwell ended up achieving the end goal that I was hoping for.
