Raleigh Immigration is my to go deportation defense where I refer all my clients. As a family law attorney who works with immigrants, I always want to make sure my clients are well represented in all areas of the law, not just in family law (where I work). So I send them to Beckie and her Raleigh Immigration Law Firm. They are amazing at what they do, fully committed, ethical, and efficient. They even have an after hours number, which is oftentimes esential when a family member is detained and immediate guidance is required. Would leave 10 stars if possible!

It is extremely disappointing that a law firm operating in the current immigration climate — and marketing itself as supportive to families — can accept $2,500 and fail to provide clear, measurable work. Over 30 days ago, I hired this firm and paid $2,500 for what was described as an “analysis” of my spouse’s immigration situation and for the firm to coordinate with his criminal defense attorney to explore options related to Military Parole in Place (PIP). I signed the contract and paid immediately upon request. After payment was made, the first person assigned to my case was largely unresponsive. Communication was inconsistent and required repeated follow-ups on my end. Eventually, that individual was no longer handling my case and someone else was assigned. Unfortunately, the same communication issues continued. I expressed my concerns multiple times to the attorney’s assistant regarding the lack of updates and clarity. Despite those concerns being raised, nothing materially changed. There was no proactive communication, no clear outline of work completed, and no written explanation detailing what the $2,500 “analysis” actually included. I am an active-duty service member. I was personally present at every court date my spouse had. In fact, I was the one consistently updating this law firm about developments in the criminal case. I was also the one maintaining regular communication with the criminal defense attorney. At no point did I see evidence that this firm meaningfully coordinated in the way that was described when I retained them. To date, no substantive action has been taken regarding my Military PIP case. When I decided to terminate services due to lack of progress and poor communication, I began receiving repeated calls encouraging me to continue services. I was told they had “finally reached a resolution” and that once I spoke to the attorney, I would better understand what I was being charged for. However, that conversation never materialized in a timely or transparent way. I formally requested a refund more than a week ago. I was CC’d on internal communication acknowledging my request, yet I have still not received confirmation of when my refund will be processed or how long it will take. No timeline. No follow-up. No accountability. Immigration matters are time-sensitive and emotionally draining — especially for military families navigating complex legal systems. It is not enough to apologize and say that this is not the standard you “take pride in.” Internal staffing issues, transitions, or workflow problems are not the client’s responsibility. When clients pay thousands of dollars upfront, they deserve professionalism, transparency, and measurable work. What makes this even more concerning is that similar communication and refund-delay issues appear in other reviews. That suggests this is not an isolated incident. I hope this firm resolves my refund promptly. We now have to retain another attorney and pay additional fees because the services we were promised were not delivered. Do better. Be better. People’s families and futures are not administrative inconveniences. Update: I have now been informed that, as part of the “refund request process,” I must wait until April 9, 2026 to speak with a finance manager — nearly 30 days just to discuss processing a refund. The contract states that reimbursable fees are processed within 3–5 business days. A 30-day wait just to speak to someone about a refund does not align with what is outlined in the agreement. Clients are expected to pay immediately upon request. The same level of urgency and professionalism should apply when returning funds. Update: 28 March 2026 It has now been well over 30 days since I was told a determination would be made regarding my refund request, and I have yet to receive any update, communication, or resolution. I paid $2,500 for immigration services that were not performed. At this point, the lack of response is extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

Terrible at communicating. I hired them back in April 2026 and canceled within a week and still have not received a letter or reimbursement of my money. Paid 4k upfront and just kept ignoring my emails.
