Amanda Roberts is truly an exceptional family law attorney, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. From the very beginning, Amanda and her entire team were there for me every step of the way. I hired Amanda Roberts to provide parent coordination services. While perhaps this team is good at family law litigation, they are not prepared to ethically offer parent coordination services. I feel taken advantage of. I found her work to be sloppy, and her attention to detail poor. Her communication was well outside the limits of what you should expect in a professional relationship, often needing the same points repeated over and over in multiple sessions. At times it would take several months (up to eight) to get a response to an email. When it was urgent, I needed to reach out more than nine times over three weeks to get a single response (each time being told they’d get back to me the next day). She sent emails with the wrong names on it, and came to meetings not having read the appropriate documents ahead of time. She often seemed confused by our case, and confused the details, presumably with other cases she was working on, making proposals entirely inappropriate to my situation. In addition, there were several neutrality concerns that repeatedly came up over the two years. I often got conflicting messages between her and the various members of her staff. She would promise to complete work, not complete it, and then refuse to respond to any further emails about it. When she would complete work, she often did it incorrectly. I regularly felt like I was a bother to her and her staff, and that the needs and concerns of my children and me were unimportant. Despite repeated requests to address the problems, no one tried to address any of my concerns until after I had told the team of my intention to move on. During our actual sessions, we spent more time listening to Ms. Roberts lecture us on grammatical pedantry than we did addressing violations of our decree of divorce. Ms. Roberts struggled with emotional regulation issues during our sessions. At times, she grew angry or raised her voice unprovoked. She would sometimes broaden her shoulders, lean forward, stare, and interrupt to try and intimidate the parties. Her ego seemed to bruise easily. And frustratingly, Ms. Roberts often relied on old, lazy gender stereotypes, rather than on the details of my actual case. In our final session, Ms. Roberts said she did not believe we had a single issue to address. But we had 8 issues to address that I had emailed her office about at various points over the previous six months. Most concerning was her lack of care for my children's best interests. I went to her office for parent coordination to help my kids navigate a tough situation. She did help address a few conflicts, but largely she failed to provide the services she was hired for. Honestly, what I needed was an umpire who could call balls and strikes in a very contentious relationship, instead it usually felt like I had hired an earnest, ideological, egotistical, insecure tenth grader. After spending thousands of dollars of fees, I ended up needing to leave and find an alternate service provider. Since then, Ms. Roberts took several steps to make it difficult for me to leave, and returned only half of the retainer I expected based on my final billing statement. After patiently working with her and her office for nearly two years, it is my opinion that they do not have the disposition, focus, or desire to provide parent coordination services. They should either make substantial improvements to their processes or stop offering this service.

The Roberts Stoffel Family Law Group has taken such great care of me through the entire family court process. My situation was not ideal in the slightest, being that I am military who got stationed overseas, and Ms. Roberts has been so wonderful when considering my timezone differences and her communication with me has always been thorough and timely. She listened to all my concerns regarding family court and provides sound advice while working hard to make progress toward my desired outcomes. Her knowledge of the law is very apparent while processing my legal motions and discussing appeal options. I’ve used other lawyers in the past and they had nowhere near the level of attention to detail that Ms. Roberts displays in her writing and verbal articulations. I’ve been so happy to be a client of hers and as long as I am in this unfortunate predicament of family court, it makes it easier having a great lawyer walking me through it all. I highly recommend this Law Group to anyone in need of quality care from legal professionals. I cannot stress my satisfaction in Ms. Roberts and her team enough.

Amanda and her team were pretty great in a long and stressful time in my life. Her and staff were great at responding to questions when they arose and throughout the entirety of the divorce process. I don’t know how I would’ve made it through the without her and her team. They are very thorough in meeting deadlines and also just ensuring that you as a client are getting the most out of what you’re paying them for. My divorce took over a year and custody was decided a little over 2 years after initially filing, but that was no fault of Amanda and her team. They handled our case which was very unique due to military circumstances and myself wanting to relocate back home out of the state of Nevada, with the utmost care and grace. Amanda fought and saw through a lot of the ridiculous games my ex spouse tried to play and ensured that the judge also saw it as well. I recommend Amanda and her team 100% ! Thank you for all you guys did for myself and my child.
