I came across the attorney’s office via a Google search. I filled out a contact form and was contacted almost immediately. After filling out paperwork prior to my appointment (appointments only by the way), I came in and was greeted by friendly staff. I signed in and waited and had a face to face conversation with the attorney. He explained to me the situation and how to proceed with everything. Prior to today, I had no knowledge on immigration law. Questions I had were answered and I left out the door reassured of what to do next. I appreciate you all for the assistance Mr Ongaro and staff!

These people are scammers. They will promise you that they will represent you. They will take over $4500 just to collect information and they will later tell you that it was interpreter’s fault that their client couldn’t understand their questions and not theirs. They say it was the court’s responsibility to get translator and not theirs. They can’t even get a decent translator after collecting all that money. They probably have agreement with Ice to fail as many people as possible. Because when you tell them that there was a major miscommunication due to the translator or other things, they say there is a conflict of interest and they are withdrawing from case. They took money making fake promises and later tell you there is conflict of interest. Translator explained things wrong is just an excuse. Even Ice officers explained my friend for whom I retained the lawyer that this lawyer doesn’t know what he is doing and profiting of vulnerable people and to get a different lawyer. Do not believe fake promises of this lawyer and his team. They will ask you judgmental questions and will spin it as if they didn’t know everything as if you didn’t tell them everything upfront. Even after you told them everything that happened upfront, just to take your money they will give you all promises. Later they will tell you they didn’t know some things that you have told them upfront. It is possible they are working together with Ice to deport as many people as possible even for people who came to the country legally and had no criminal history. And even for people who paid significant money and told all needed information upfront. Very unethical lawyer and his team. He and his team will pretend they did everything they could and withdraw from case and will not even give you any refund. Human being’s life is nothing for them. Even after you explained them upfront that person was in car accident and was victim of crime. They knew how important it is to have good translator, but decided to offer him a translator who was misinterpreting things and adding words or facts that are not true because instead of getting the right language translator they got him different language translator who was either translating things wrong intentionally or due to lack of understanding of that language. Knowingly in advance that he doesn’t speak Uzbek, they couldn’t make one phone call to get him Kyrgyz translator. They offered him Uzbek translator and he thought it was his only chance to at least slightly understand he agreed to it. Kyrgyz and Uzbek are only 40% similar. For his next hearing after they refused to represent him after taking money, all it was is for me to make 1 phone call to court to request the right language translator and I was able to get the right translator even though I am not lawyer. They should have known how important it was to have the right language translator and they intentionally did not do it. I talked to parents of my friend and my friend himself said he is not Uzbek and they still thought he was Uzbek and got him Uzbek translator who was adding words and translating things wrong. We could have done better with any other lawyer for that money if we had known it is so hard for them to make 1 phone call to get the right language translator. Instead of getting help for your money, you lose your time and money. Their unprofessional and unethical behavior adds frustration. I was naive to believe all those fake reviews written by their own friends and family probably. Do not believe all those fake reviews.

Attorney Ongaro helped my husband get out of the detention center 4 years ago. He is great! Now 4 years later my husband got approved for his permanent residence…. Thank you everyone at the Ongaro Office for helping us in this journey !
