Today, I was asked to vote for the Shepherd Group via email. As my mother said, "Be careful of what you ask for?" So here you go! Renee KAREL Is An Absolute "Black Eye," A "Disgrace" For A Defense Attorney, With The Support Of Her Boss, Ron Shepherd, & Boise County's Judicial System, as I was presumed guilty before innocent. Renee Karel said in our conversations, because of my age (I'm 68 yrs old), the charge will not matter because I am retired and will not affect my career. During our course of holding my ground, Renee got even more hostile, contumacious and belligerent in her emails. Thus, trying to fire her, did not stop her engagement; With all my legal attempts, she still didn't stop with her arrogance or representation. Renee Karel, as my second attorney working for the Shep law Group, because my first attorney (Frank Walker) had to have heart surgery (asper COVID Shots?). We loved Frank. Who had his faith in me from the beginning. For over eight months of declining plea deal after plea deal from Boise County Idaho, Frank supported me being innocent. Moreover, Frank said, Boise County was looking past Idaho State law that would have squashed the charge against me. Renee Karel, took the other side from the beginning in our first consultation. She talked out of both sides of her mouth, a contradiction to her profession (or maybe not). As we proceeded, she demonstrated, disdainfully, assuming... much to the negative first. I was guilty before being innocent. In the end, our relationship ended from a phone call, from Mr. Shepherd, because of my grief with Renee. Mr. Shepherd is just as bad, but worse, than Renee, being her boss: Read on. I learned Mr Shepherd was in lockstep with Karel and disregarding our beloved U. S. Constitution. Mr. Shepherd minimized my complaint, and supported Renee, who he said, "Renee got you off cheap" with getting my case dismissed with the last plea deal. For the record: Renee did not get me off anything that Frank Walker and I already had in place. Who did? I did. NOT Karel. Karel told me to take the 16 hrs/Dismissal. I asked Karel to send me the webpage to show me the sanction to verify my approval. Here's when I learned, Renee Karel is on the other side.... I learned, said sanction, could be reduced from 16 to 4hrs. WOW! Renee's arrogance and haughtiness started in our first consultation. Renee came in almost ten minutes late, she never introduced herself, except after my lady and I stopped her and we introduced ourselves. I fired Karel via email. With no reply, I then sent her a certified USPS letter telling her she was fired before the next hearing. Karel blatantly ignored, and appeared at my last hearing via the Internet, acting as my attorney, saving face to her peers and above. In my opinion, Renee Karel is an absolute, "traitress actress" to our United States Constitution. Renee practices "British Law" not "English Law:" Karel wants the absence of a jury trial, (look it up, or I can send you the current day law proceeding in England) our judicial system manifests today, here in Boise County. In the end, Renee Karel showed contempt of Idaho law, Renee boldly disregarded my right to fire her, under Idaho Law. I asked My Shepherd, in his phone call, if he had read the emails exchanged by Karel and myself: R. Shepherd said NO! ​That's what more Shepherd could have done. By getting the facts before he called. Something Am. Government teaches in a high school class, with the practice of MORAL LAW. MORAL LAW trumps the almighty dollar R. Shep used to help his position. I think maybe a class in ethics 101 would help, by using Cleon Skousen's book: The 5000 Year Leap. Our inalienable rights, such as life, liberty, and property, are inherent rights that cannot be surrendered or taken away without due process: ​"due honest process​" that your practice neglects. ​The jury of public opinion will take it from here. After my accident, my world was completely turned upside down. People cared, but unless you’ve been through something like this, it’s hard to understand just how overwhelming it can be. Ron Shepherd, Kaitlyn, and their team stepped in and handled everything so I could focus on healing. They took care of the tough conversations, the paperwork, and the stress, and that made a huge difference for me. What stood out the most was their compassion. I never felt like just another case; I truly felt like they cared about me and what I was going through. They made me feel safe when I felt alone and scared. Every step of the way, they guided me, supported me, and made sure I was okay. Ron is an excellent attorney whom we have used multiple times and highly recommend to friends and family.
