Southern Oaks Law Firm was an absolute blessing during one of the most difficult times in my life. Taylor and Logan were incredibly knowledgeable and professional throughout my custody case, but what really made the difference was how genuinely caring and personable they both were. They, along with their awesome paralegal, Rae, took the time to explain every step, answered all my questions with patience, and made sure I always felt heard and supported. I also never felt like they were just telling me what I wanted to hear, instead they were straightforward with me and if there was something that absolutely wasn’t going to happen, they told me. I normally don’t leave reviews, but I feel like people should know about my experience. This office did not represent me for child support, yet they still charged me $300 just to mail court documents that I had already been served by the sheriff. When they did represent me at a hearing, I honestly felt like I was in there alone. Key evidence I provided was never brought up to the Hearing Officer, and it made a real difference in my case. I also asked for one simple change in my custody agreement: switching “at 6 PM” to “by 6 PM.” That wording matters, and a week later it caused the exact problem I was trying to avoid. When I emailed to ask why the change wasn’t made, I got brushed off, told that our business was complete—and then sent an invoice for $3.77 on top of everything else. Overall, I left feeling unheard, unsupported, and charged for things that didn’t make sense. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office.
