This place is prejudice towards men I got the short end of the stick on everything is seemed like they were representing my bitter baby mother rather than my child’s well being. Turns out that Alex Puzone the one who handled my case took my child’s mother on a date according to her. Very unprofessional!!!

I’m giving this review as a young person who received GAL services from the Children’s Law Center during the 2010s. Absolutely wonderful service that I will always be appreciative of. My GAL was very well attuned to my needs as a teenager going through an incredibly messy and toxic divorce. When I felt like no one listened to me or cared, my GAL did. She tirelessly advocated for me, which had a truly positive impact on me. She centered my experiences and feelings during a time where the adults in my life rarely considered them. She took the time to get to know me as a person, and always spoke up for me. She was a voice for me in my family’s drawn out and chaotic custody/legal battles. In one instance, a family member lied to a doctor and tried to get me forcibly medicated without cause. My GAL helped advocate for me and ensured I was not forced to take a medication I did not need. I will always be grateful for all you did and do for children like me. Thank you so much for the work you do!

This place works with the mother of the families they never communicate with the fathers I've been working with this place for a year and I have email numerous times and I've got no help from these people at all they do have a personal bias and I think it should be shut down they're not what's best for the children it's what's best for them they work with DCF not against DCF which means they are totally not for the children because as we know DCF is all about adopting children out and selling them to get a cut back of dollars that was signed into law by Governor Nancy Rell and their practices have not changed at all and for a law office that's supposed to be non-biased anyone who worked with this place will tell you they are biased

Alexander J. Puzone was referred as the guardian et litem to represent my child back in December 2023. Because of his diligence, extensive knowledge of the legal system, and commitment towards representing what’s best for our child, he went above and absolutely beyond for almost the entire year to make sure everything from a structured parenting plan and clear communication between all parties, was all for the benefit of what’s best for our child. Thank you so much, Mr. Puzone for all the hard work you put into our case. I will always be grateful for all that you have done, and I know every future case you handle is blessed to be done by you. The Children’s Law Center of Connecticut is only going to further aid and strengthen separated households as one unit for the children

After going through a bitter divorce with my ex wife for two years we didn’t come to an agreement as far as child care. The court had appointed Aisha as a GAL for my daughter. I wasn’t familiar with how a GAL works so I looked up some information online. Aisha made a home visit to my ex wife but never made one to mine. I expressed my concern about my daughter wanting more time with me but she just brushed it off. Just kept saying uh huh yea ok. The most coldest person I dealt with. I expressed how my daughter wanted more time with me. She just kept saying I could fight it in court but ultimately it was her decision. I definitely would not recommend this place or her. Seems like she was paid off additional money to make a decision without meeting with the other parent
