Chris Archer was the second divorce attorney I hired after having a bad experience with the first, so I went into our first consultation with very little trust for divorce attorneys. What I liked about Chris was he did not give me the warm and fuzzies. He didn’t pat me on the back and promise me an outcome that was unrealistic. After everything I had been through with the previous attorney I appreciated his directness and “cut to the chase” approach. Communication was never an issue with Chris, he and his staff always responded in a timely manner. I think the biggest positive for hiring Chris Archer is the way he fights for his clients in mediation! My mediation took 2 days. It was grueling, exhausting and painful. I would have easily given in to my ex husband if I didn’t have Chris standing up for me. It amazed me how he made sure that every penny was accounted for and he was constantly making sure that the scales weighed in my favor! My ex husband and his attorney did everything they could to throw confusion, hide assets and drag out the process but Chris was confident, and unyielding to their demands. Chris is a man of integrity and doesn’t give in to playing games like some attorneys will do. He is straight forward and will not waste your time or money by dragging out the process needlessly. Chris Archer made it possible for me to move forward with financial security and to be able to hold on to all the dreams I have had for my Golden Years! I highly recommend him if you need a divorce attorney!

This is the best family law firm in the Columbia area. They handled my case with professionalism, and respect. Samantha, and Destinee were amazing attorneys and Kelly their paralegal was also really helpful throughout the whole process. I will definitely be using them in the future for any continued family law needs.

I worked with Reed and Sammie both. They both pulled off MIRACLES for me. Divorce is a very stressful and confusing thing to go through when you know nothing about how the legal aspects work. But I felt so comfortable knowing that they were on my side. I spoke to another attorney office before meeting them, and I was given absolutely no hope. But as soon as I spoke to Reed, I knew I would be taken care of. This process was drug out over a year (through no fault of theirs) but even when it seemed like there was no way to proceed, Sammie stepped in to help, and got creative- she found a way! Both Reed and Sammie worked long hours on my case, and stayed in touch with me consistently through this case. Along with their creativity and determination, was my favorite thing about working with them. They both kept me “realistic” with my expectations, but WELL over delivered on anything I could have asked for. I truly believe without them on my side, I would still be stuck in an awful situation due to the complexity of my case. Their hard work changed my life. I would recommend them to ANYONE going through family court in Richland county (or surrounding counties!). Recently, I was in a situation in which a contractor was wavering on returning my $5000 deposit for a generator installation that had not been started for over 3 months. A friend who had great success with Chris Archer in a complicated family matter recommended that I contact Chris for advice. On a Friday afternoon, I emailed all correspondence including the installation agreement to Chris. That same evening as my wife and I were leaving for supper, I got a call from the contractor. He was noticeably very nervous and offered to deliver my refund in person. I have no idea what Chris said to him, but it certainly resulted in an immediate resolution. My money is now in the bank, and I have a new contractor who is already on the job. Chris far exceeded my expectations, and I give him my highest recommendations!
