While I enjoyed our face-to-face meetings, I was displeased with the billing. It seemed that our deposit—the amount of the estimate—had been consumed before I received the first draft! When I initially contested the bill due to this issue, the response was unprofessional. I believe billing challenges happen, and the customer should still be treated with respect. In the follow up email, the tone was professional again. From the moment I learned how early our budget was consumed, I felt uncomfortable corresponding further due to the rapid raise in costs. I ended up paying approximately 60% over our estimate. The billing experience was was a major negative for me. If not for that, the in-person experience was professional and enjoyable.
