I worked with Jason. He was very professional and personable, I don’t know what me or my family would have done without him. He worked tirelessly to help me through a tough situation. All of the staff in the office were great. I always felt like I was their only client, and they were just a phone call away. I would recommend this law firm to anyone, they were great to have on my team.
I hired Mr. Morones as My attorney to represent me on multiple charges, including DUI, reckless driving, eluding, and reckless endangerment. Ultimately, only the DUI charge remained, and he negotiated a plea deal that resulted in 48 hours in jail, a $1,000 fine, a $255 fee, and 18 months of bench probation. From a legal standpoint, I recognize that this was a solid outcome given the seriousness and number of the original charges. Throughout the process, he was very competent and professional. Whenever I asked questions, he answered confidently and clearly—there was no hesitation, no “what ifs,” and no uncertainty. You could tell he genuinely knew the law and the court process well. His demeanor was calm, direct, and professional at all times, which made a stressful situation easier to navigate. At one point during court proceedings, after observing other attorneys handling similar cases, I actually felt more confident in the attorney I had hired. He appeared noticeably more prepared and polished than several others in the room, many of whom seemed less organized or less confident. In comparison, it was clear that he took his role seriously and came prepared, which reinforced my belief that hiring private counsel was the right decision over relying on a court-appointed attorney. However, when I initially hired him, I was very clear about my number one priority: being able to leave the country for Australia by February 6th. I explicitly stated that I was willing to accept jail time, fines, or loss of driving privileges if it meant preserving my ability to travel internationally. Unfortunately, that outcome was not achieved. This experience has made me reflect on whether an even higher-tier attorney—at double or triple the cost—might have been able to negotiate an outcome that better aligned with that timeline, such as adjusted jail time or alternative arrangements. At the same time, I recognize that paying that much more would have likely used up nearly all of my available funds. Even if the desired outcome had been achieved, I may not have had the financial ability to actually leave, which would have delayed my plans by another year anyway. In that sense, this outcome may ultimately be the most realistic option for me. While I wasn’t able to leave on my original date, I still retained a portion of my funds and now have time to rebuild financially. Although I’m staying in the U.S. a bit longer than planned, it gives me the opportunity to replenish what was spent and move forward more sustainably. Overall, this attorney is knowledgeable, confident, and professional, and he did meaningful work to reduce the scope of my original charges. If your case involves a very specific and time-sensitive objective, I strongly recommend having an extremely detailed discussion upfront about feasibility, strategy, and financial tradeoffs. While my primary goal wasn’t met, I do believe this was a competent attorney who handled my case seriously and professionally. Overall 5/5 would definitely recommend!
