This law firm is a joke!! Hankey was appointed as my daughter’s GAL in a car accident. I met with her once and spoke to her in the hall of the courthouse for not even 5 minutes. The day I went to court I had two people come up to me as soon as I sat down and ask me if I spent a very extended amount of time with Hankey? I said no went to her office once and spoke to her at the courthouse. I had no idea who these people were. This lady apparently had billed she spent 40-60 hours with me. I didn’t even know what was going on until today when I went to her office. Greeted with, “what do you want?” She said she wouldn’t do anything else for us. I’m sorry, did I accidentally screw you up trying to screw over the state? My bad. We didn’t even hear from her for I know a year before we went to court the last time.

I feel like a-lot of us parent can relate that we pinch pennies to scramble just enough money to pay for a family law lawyer, receive a warm 1st meeting only to never to be taken seriously again…..but not at this law firm!!! From scheduling my first consultation until my case closed, I received nothing but a team that was eager to help me navigate the process, quick responses, and genuine compassion and understanding in a time I really needed it. Not to mention, Shelbie does her research and then some. You don't have to constantly remind her of submitted evidence or wait weeks to hear from her….she is knowledgeable and transparent but doesn't have the “Im better then you” attitude so many of us experience hiring lawyers. I would recommend this Law Firm to anyone looking for representation that cares, is understanding and displays the same urgency and passion that we parents feel having to go to family court.

Hankey Law Firm was absolutely amazing. Going through the guardianship process for a parent is very difficult, but even more so when you live in different states. I was concerned communication would be an issue, but that was put to ease immediately. They have a brilliant communication system, and always responded within 24 hours (many times within minutes or hours. Even on the weekends!). I’m so grateful for Shelbie and her team for being by my side through this process. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of family legal services.

Hankey law firm is definitely the place to go if you're in need of a determined and dedicated lawyer. Shelbie has gone above and beyond to help me and my family. I will never use another lawyer but her. Her and her law firm keep me updated and stay in contact very well, never leaving me in the dark about anything happening in my case. They are very friendly and caring people. I honestly couldn't have made a better decision trusting Mrs. Hankey and her team with my case.
