I had a disappointing experience with this legal consultation. The Zoom link was sent at the last minute, and the lawyer joined the meeting late. The session began with delays over minor logistics, so it took a while before we got into the actual consultation. Ironically, at the end, she appeared frustrated and pointed out that the meeting had gone four minutes over time. We had come prepared with a list of questions in a shared document, starting with one about how to choose a suitable date for a particular form field. As soon as the lawyer realized we were considering filing the forms ourselves, she abruptly stated that she does not believe clients should complete these forms on their own and refused to answer any form-related questions. While I understand that an initial consultation is not meant to walk clients through forms line by line, this kind of categorical refusal—and the judgmental tone that accompanied it—was inappropriate and unprofessional. It is entirely reasonable for clients to seek advice on specific aspects of the process, especially when trying to do their due diligence. Her reaction not only shut down the conversation but also created an uncomfortable atmosphere that affected the rest of the consultation. Throughout the meeting, some of her responses didn’t align with information I had seen in official sources. When I raised this, she responded vaguely, saying that policies might change in the future and I should monitor for updates. That kind of answer felt evasive rather than helpful. She also became impatient when I tried to confirm certain details, explicitly stating she wouldn’t repeat herself. When I asked about edge cases or hypothetical scenarios, her response was dismissive—implying that if I had such concerns, I shouldn’t be pursuing the process at all. That kind of attitude came across as judgmental and unconstructive. Overall, I didn’t feel respected or well-advised during this consultation. The session felt rushed and unproductive, and I would not recommend this service to others seeking thoughtful and client-focused legal support.

Horrible lawyer. Please do not invest any time or money in this lawyer. She is very money minded, she will charge you for the smallest things. Instead of advising us according to our circumstances she would ask what we want to do, what is the point of paying her if she is unable to use her “law expertise”. She purposely tried to make us wait to submit our medicals for our green card application so she would be able to charge us for it (in her reply she says we chose to wait to submit our medicals, this is false, we had asked her multiple times at the start of the process and she said not to do it). She also used her address for the green card so she was the one who received it and did not inform us for a full week until we tried to contact her multiple times (we switched lawyers mid way through the process as we realized Lalita Haran is not capable of this case, but were unable to change the mailing address as it was already submitted). She also filed my mother’s green card with the male gender, she did this purposely so we would go back to her to get it changed so she could charge money. We ultimately had to switch lawyers for our green card application to get processed.

I had a very positive experience with Lalita Haran on processing my now-approved Green Card application. She was very thorough in getting all the required documents together and provided a lot of information whenever we had any questions. I also found her to be very communicative and prompt in replying to emails or phone calls. This entire process was streamlined and Lalita was able to simplify what can be a very convoluted and multi-step application process. Highly recommend!

I hired Lalita to help me with my F1 OPT EAD approval . I was new to USA and it was my first immigration issue and I remember storming in her office panicking. She was calm and thorough in her approach. She explained the whole action plan to me and was patient in answering all my queries . She was prompt in replying to all me emails and made sure my case get timely attention. She shared the copy of letter she wrote to USCIS as well . Overall , I had a pleasant experience working with her and would highly recommend her for your immigration issues.

Lalita Haran helped us on a spousal GC filing, and we found her to be very thorough and knowledgeable on the process. She was quite dependable and easy to get a hold of whenever we had questions and doubts, and definitely saved us quite a bit of stress that we would have had trying to navigate the complicated system alone.
