Do not have Ezra represent you for a domestic violence case. He represented me back in 2019. He was working with Tessa representing domestic violence victims. Years later I found out that there is a HUGE difference in a no contact order versus a protection order and/or restraining order that he advised me to close out. At no point Ezra explained to me the legality of a protection order vs a no contact order. Now I’m not able to transfer my no contact order out of state due to his misrepresentation and verbiage listed on the no contact order. He looked out for the abuser best interest not mine. 7yrs later my abuser relocated 1400 miles away to my county and I can’t do anything. Ezra is useless. Don’t waste your money. I have notified Tessa and hopefully they will cut ties so Ezra is not able to screw over domestic violence victims.

I highly recommend Knies, Helland & McPherson. I had the pleasure of working with Nick Sung and his paralegals Heather and Stephanie. I had interviewed numerous attorneys and found Nick to be knowledgeable and down to earth at our consultation. Nick took on my case shortly after my divorce was finalized due to my ex not following through on the divorce decree and unfortunately continued with other issues that arose. I was really impressed on how organized and prepared the team was for court. Nick always kept my children's best interest as the forefront and that is the most important.

I highly recommend Knies, Helland & McPherson. Jenni (Helland) did an amazing job. My ex and her attorney were very antagonistic, liked to draw out the process, and did everything they could to drive up legal fees. Jenni was great in understanding what was happening and the likely outcomes or consequences. She avoided emotional arguments, and instead made sound legal ones. More importantly, she advised me when I was making an emotional decision and gave recommendations on what actions I could take that would be legally successful. Having someone in your corner that was willing to tell you what you needed to hear, instead of what you wanted to hear saved me thousands of dollars. This is not a law firm that will needlessly drive up costs. For example, I was never charged for attorneys fees for anyone Jenni may have consulted with (this is a frequent tactic of less reputable law firms). I was never given a weekly 'update' that created billing hours even if nothing was happening in the case. Jenni never had me make needless discovery requests, subpoenas or motions that are typical and drive up costs. I had a more experienced and higher hourly rate attorney than my ex, but my ex's legal fees were 30% higher because of all the shenanigans they played. Jenni will give you the legal experience you need without driving up costs.
