My case was processed at the Adams County Correctional Center in Natchez, Mississippi. This is one of the toughest jurisdictions in the United States: total violations of due process, unfair and biased treatment from judges and DHS. Less than 1% of people there are granted asylum and released. Even very strong cases end in deportation for any reason — for example, because of minor mistakes in the I-589 form. Bond is practically the only real way to get out of there and save your situation. I originally had another attorney who handled my case terribly, was unprepared, failed my bond hearing, and nearly destroyed my life. I ended up in an extremely difficult situation. After several days of despair, consultations with about ten attorneys, recommendations from friends and acquaintances whose cases Natalia handled, and after speaking with her personally — I decided to trust her with my case and my life. And it was the best decision I’ve ever made. She was the only one who gave me a real, tough, honest breakdown without “fluffy clouds”, which allowed me to make the right choice. In the shortest time — within two weeks — the case was completely gathered and rebuilt: evidence, documents, translations. At the same time, we had video calls several times a week — clarifications, preparation, strategy, explanations of the entire process: what court is, how it works, what I need to know, and what to expect. I mentioned certain nuances, and Natalia instantly sent voice instructions to her team. This is exactly what you want to see when you’re stuck in detention and your hearing is coming up: your issues are handled quickly and without delays. Natalia also kept not only my family but also my friends informed throughout the entire process. The hearing went excellent. The judge, like me, was impressed with Natalia’s professional work and paused several times during the hearing to compliment her. He also noted that the examination of the respondent was exemplary — like in a textbook for a jury trial. Natalia brilliantly responded to all of the prosecutor’s objections, and the judge complimented her again for that. In the end, I was granted asylum. And I want to express my deep gratitude to Natalia and her team. They are a real special forces unit that saves people. These are the people who do real work.
