I was referred to Legal Aid by another Omaha Organization. When I called I was told up front I would have to pay a $30 fee to get started. Somehow they kept using "free" and "$30 fee" in the same sentence. My questions were fairly basic and I found my answers later online. I would highly recommend trying ChatGPT first before calling for anything. ChatGPT is ACTUALLY free. Not free for $30. After my initial contact I received a text to call back and then got pushed the hard sell by someone else. This seems like a scam.

So weird how you can help someone who doesn't need it but someone who needs help you deny them. Brandy I know didnt get all the doctor paperwork because the social worker at 1 place isnt there till next week. So what did you make your decision on? What that its to hard and its Friday and took a week vacation? Unprofessional

I’ve asked for help on at least 10 different occasions and they could never help pointless service.

They never answer the phone. I have called 5 different times. Long wait times (20-30mins) just to get hung up on. Went to the actual office to be found with a sign on the door saying “no walk ins available”. Rang the doorbell at the office, some lady answered saying to call the phone number. What a joke. Non profit that doesn’t seem to be efficient in the community. Will continue to put in a complaint as some auditing needs to be done here.
