I had some questions about juvenile status, so I paid for a $50 consultation. When the day of my appointment arrived, the lawyer told me we couldn't have the consultation because she doesn't handle these types of cases; another lawyer does. She said I had to reschedule and pay an additional $20 on top of the $50 I had already paid. It's worth noting that their website states the consultation costs $50, but then they tell you that you have to pay an extra $20 and that there are no refunds because the slot can't be reassigned to another client. I think next time they could be a little more honest and state the actual price of the consultation. If one of their lawyers doesn't handle these types of cases, they should also specify that, since many times people wait patiently for a consultation only to be charged extra and made to wait even longer.
