Tom Mingus has been an incredible blessing in my life, and I could never thank him enough. He played a pivotal role in reuniting my family during an extremely challenging time. I was navigating a contentious divorce and custody battle with my ex-wife, who lived six hours away. She relentlessly attacked my character, and made multiple attempts to alienate me from my daughters life. It was one of the darkest and most frightening times of my life, but having Tom by my side made all the difference. Through one hearing, and a lengthy trial, Tom’s expertise shone through. The court adopted our parenting plan both times, and after the trial, the final judgement granted me 50/50 custody(week on, week off), joint legal and joint physical custody, and all the holidays for that year. The court even awarded me make up time to compensate for some of the time that I missed with my daughter. Tom’s honesty was unwavering. He consistently kept me informed about possible outcomes, not just telling me what I wanted to hear, and assuring that I was prepared for each step of the process. We were facing termination of guardianship for a child we loved and who wanted to be adopted into our family.
