We've been working with Jacobs Cohen for a few years now, and it has been the easiest, most responsive team we've ever worked with. We've tried several different firms in Nashville who were big and corporate and never seemed to complete our taxes on time, and we were constantly having problems with the IRS. Since we've moved to Tommy and the Jacobs Cohen team, everything is done well, done on time and no hassle. We've moved all of our business and personal needs here and everything is seamless and running smoothly.

Interaction with Jacobs Cohen was a dream. It is so nice to work with a company that listens to your needs. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and they have a very convenient downtown location. If you need a CPA or other Accounting info they are your guys.

My husband and I hired Jacobs Cohen because I own a business which makes our taxes somewhat complicated. I reached out to the company to express disappointment with our CPA’s communication (there were a few occasions when he did not respond to my emails and it was only when my husband would send a follow up that my questions would be answered, and he would call or email my husband instead of me to ask questions about MY business). I explained that this felt dismissive of my role (and felt a bit sexist). There was also an error on our prepared tax return that would have cost us several thousand dollars had I not caught it. In response, I received an incredibly dismissive and patronizing email from the managing partner. He started by admitting that he wasn’t familiar with our situation, and then he launched into all the reasons that the situation was probably my fault (again, despite admitting he wasn’t familiar with the situation). He even went so far as to say that if I felt like the CPA would only respond to my husband, I should have had my husband instruct him to talk to me (presumably then he would have listened?). What had been a slightly disappointing experience was very much exacerbated by the overtly rude response from management. I would suggest that female clients stay away from this firm!

I started using Jacobs Cohen in 2006 and it became clear I should also use them for my personal finances and taxes. They're very professional, but not at all stuffy and very easy to work with.
