if I could give no stars i would. this company is evil, and their employees are rude and condescending. they are probably used to getting yelled at 24/7 and honestly they deserve it. what they do should be illegal. i owned a car for less than a month that i now owe close to $1000 in taxserv bills for. I called and told them but they basically told me its too late to fight it and i need to pay it before i can register my new car. i have lived in poverty my whole life and every time i think i have a handle on my finances something like this happens. i dont understand how this is legal.

By far the absolute worst company I have ever worked with. Sent them what they asked for, tried to have conversations about what occurred with my DMV taxes, and they were rude, cut me off multiple times and argued with me constantly. Truly didn’t want to help you. Finally ended up speaking to the town where my vehicle was and we discussed what occurred. Tried to call to pay Taxserv and they told me I could only pay online. Online also requires you to pay a service fee. So you pay a collections fee and a service fee on top of the bills it took years (4+ in my case) to get to you with interest? Oh and the phone number on the letters they send out in their logo at the top and in the letter itself?? Not in service… Never worked with a worse company that works with people. I felt insulted and was genuinely trying to understand what occurred and what I owed and what I needed to do.

I moved out of ct in 2018 and after 7 years received a vehicle tax bill from east Hartford ct. They waited 7 years to tell me I owe these taxes??? They waited 7 years and trying to collected all that interest and fees? I checked with dmv and they show both plates were canceled in 2017. Now I get a notice from taxserv? I’m not dealing with a collection company and I have no heartburn telling them that. When I have the funds I will send them straight to east Hartford tax collector.

Marina in the W Hartford office hung up on me 3 times during a call I made trying to get information about a bill that was sent to me in error with another persons information. I was polite and only trying to let her know that no one with that name lives at our residence which we have lived in for over 10 years. The call was recorded at 3:05pm on March 10th 2025. I would suggest reviewing her vulgar responses to me and taking the appropriate actions to eliminate this kind of hostility towards the public. I was only trying to help and report an error with your billing. Unfortunately this is the type of behavior that gives you a 1 star rating. Hopefully someone will care

This is a scam. The tried to bill me past taxes for a car I never owned 10 years ago. DMV confirmed. They still keep sending threatening emails and letters. Just ignore these dishonorable people.
