Divorce is easily the most challenging and stressful thing I have been through. Emily and Dylan brought comfort and transparent understanding to me and my circumstance. About half way through my case I decided I wasn't happy with my previous representation and parted ways with them. I was referred to Emily through a friend going through a similar situation and everything from the intake to the billing was handled in a way that I am accustomed to (I have a background of project management). Communication opened up, availability, resources, clear—not bottled—guidlines were present, and in times of stress on my part, Dylan moved in stride. Emily was an incredible attorney to work with. I went through 2 other attorney's at the beginning of my divorce (it took 2 years), and Emily was the only one I felt had my back and actually fought for me. She's super knowledgeable and most importantly helped talk me down off the ledge a few times. I love the even keel approach and taking emotions out of it because the courts simply don't care about certain things and in the midst of a divorce you don't understand that - but Emily does. Her team was awesome and very on top of things which was really helpful with all of the complexities in my case. She also doesn't overbill which seems to be a huge issue in the family law world. I had a prenup and honestly Emily is one of the only attorneys I even interviewed that seemed to understand small business and the nature of contract law (the prenup). I can't recommend her and her team enough. I hate that I had to meet her through this process, but boy am I glad I did.
