Hunter Tzovarras is a good attorney. He represented me in a drunk driving prosecution. The prosecutor for Penobscott County, Maine has run on a zero tolerance for DUI campaign platform and will not settle these prosecutions. I took a blood test that allegedly showed I had a BAC level significantly below the legal limit of 0.08%. The state then destroyed the blood sample without giving me a chance to test it and after misplacing it and creating other chain of custody issues. Nonetheless, the state continued to insist that I plead guilty to drunk driving and throw myself to the mercy of the prosecution and the court. That was obviously unacceptable. Mr. Tzovarras kept his cool and we waited out the prosecution because they clearly did not want to take my case to court and lose. (The prosecutor clearly respected Mr. Tzovarras.) Eventually, we got the charges dismissed on speedy trial grounds after the prosecution failed to bring my case to trial for 3 1/2 years. I am so thankful to Mr. Tzovarras for helping me with this matter.
