Waited on hold 1.5 hours for Rose to answer the phone to dismiss without completing intake application... Only gets part of my info, deliberately filibustering to impede my intake then saying none of my issues are not a part of their services (no aid in: landlord/tenant, selfhelp eviction, family court, DV, utility shut off, towing, PoA). Then her dog got loose and she wanted to get off of the phone to handle that!!! I tell her, no, i'm not going to lwt you end the call to handle a non work related affair. We go back and forth. And finally, I asked for her supervisor and she refuses to give me all the information instructing me to look on the website for Caroline. Now, i've been on the phone for 2 hours and she hangs up because I am upset. It's after 11:30 and the call center aka her home goes on break. A paralegal answering phones from home, distracted with her pet, knows nothing about the landlord-tenant agency or any of the issues listed, has no people skills, tact or empathy leads me to believe legal aid is hiring for her position. Looking forward to seeing this on indeed.com

I sadly found the help worse than no help at all. I wasted time going through there process and another two weeks waiting for the 45 minute appointment only to be seated in front on a lawyer that appeared not to want to be there and seemed to have no interest in helping me. When asking questions I would get very limited short responses or one word answers. I got far more help from a free phone consult to a paid attorney than I received here. It might be good for somebody who is homeless with one or two legal questions, as long as you can walk, I definitely would not spend the $3 bus fare on it.

I couldn't even get past the intake without being hung up 2 times by a very unprofessional girl. When providing my personal information & asked why the last 4 digits of my social were required & her also not listening to the details of my situation in order to answer her many repetitive questions, I got a bit frustrated. However, I did not get loud or rude, just explained myself & told her she was not listening. So she just simply hung up on me. Then after calling them back 2 times, with no answer, she finally called me back & claimed somehow we were disconnected. So, I patiently replied to a few more questions, to finally explain again where she kept twisting the wording to ask the similar questions to stuff I had already explained in my situation, she then hung up on me AGAIN. But also never called me back. She was basically not at all listening to me & only wanting to take basic answers to many questions. She did not know how to handle any confusion which she was causing. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL & NOT HELPFUL AT ALL, thus causing me to not even be considered for any type of help from this organization. Bad day for her or not, she is not who they need as a first person of contact. Obviously, anyone reaching out may be in desperate need of HELP, so she should be better at balancing listening & assisting for intake calls.

Really helped me ensure I knew what I needed to file for divorce. The paperwork alone is overwhelming and just to have someone walk me through it so I can do it on my own was a tremendous help since I cannot afford an attorney and do not wish to waste time and money filing wrong.
