My name is Thomas Harbison with my aunt and uncle Elizabeth and Todd Harbison had a family incident. What these lawyers were supposed to help with a portion of us dealing with our father passing away during those moments in the beginning, we had a lawyer 🕵🏼‍♀️ who was wonderful saying that he wanted to get to work and help us out to the best of his ability unfortunately this process is taken extremely long longer than it should of. Almost 2 years to be exact. For a case that should’ve been in solvent. Not only that we stated possibly going after the house, unfortunately we decided not to but we did pay over $1000 for a retainer. only a retainer to start that process and after we decided not to and didn’t go anywhere with that process, they still kept that thousand plus dollars without even asking what else they could possibly do for us. Now here we are at the end and we are fed up. We are displeased because my Uncle Tod is the one that’s paying them the money and yet my Aunt is the only one listed as the client the issue is all three of us are the clients regardless if her name is on it or not because my uncle is paying for it. Yet when he had things to say or was frustrated with the process, they told him “you are not the client” and again this is the man that’s paying them thousands apon thousands of dollars. So when we ask for the final bill my uncle asked for that money that was not used to be taken off that final bill, which I think is respectable to ask since we never used it , chased or did anything for the house. They said they used all that money all 1000+ dollars over something we never even started. So this is my review and soon my aunt and my uncle are also going to write a review and then my family has been very invested in this whole situation will also write reviews. I hope this review helps people see the terrible experience and rip off we had. You will see other reviews reflecting the same but maybe even more information soon. Will this law firm make it right? Doubt it. They will also try to say “we did not represent this person and strongly dispute it” which is a problem within itself since I was involved with every single aspect and was at every court session. All we asked was to give back the money that was in fact not used up.

I have been a real estate investor for five decades and have been a principal in over 100 closings. Bauer Gravel Farnham is the home of the most unprofessional attorney behavior I have ever witnessed. During the closing, I notified the attorney of a mistake in the closing document, erroneously debiting me $1700 and giving that money to her clients. The attorney, Amber Thibault, a partner in the firm, acknowledged the mistake and said that it was her assistant’s error. Instead of having the error corrected, the attorney ignored my protestations, and I reluctantly signed the incorrect closing statement so as not to jeopardize the closing. I am out $1700 thanks to this travesty of justice. Be wary of this firm. I have filed a formal complaint with the Professional Review Board.

Closed my house with them which was subpar - got a call from the real estate manager the night before closing asking where the wire is after I sent it 24 hours prior (ended up fine - it was there). Then I ask for a consultation a month or so later on a different topic & get refused any service. Wouldn't do anything with them again - poor performance all around.

These folks were fantastic until they weren't. They overlooked at close a Homestead Property Tax refund that resulted in thousands of dollars lost. Vermont statutes state these refunds go to the sellers. A simple escrow fund would have taken care of this. It took months to get answers and several flippant remarks along the way. There advice given was simply to sue the new buyers or complete a withdrawal which would have doubled the $ lost. They didn't even provide a link on how to sue if I had chosen that path. (not) They took absolutely zero responsibility for their oversight and didn't so much as offer and apology for their obvious mistake. Sadly , I would give them negative 5 stars based on my experience.

My husband and I closed on our first home and Nick made the closing process a breeze. With how much jargon is in the stack of closing documents, it was very helpful to have someone explain each one. He also made it very clear that if anything comes up, not to hesitate to reach out and ask questions going forward. We recommend Nick for your homebuying legal needs!
