I was fortunate enough to have the counsel of Jonathan Cohen, who facilitated a smooth and painless legal process. Without him I'm not sure how things would have shaken out but he was able to support me in being served a fair and reasonable charge and consequences that were absolutely reasonable. He is knowledgable, clear and concise, patient, and has values aligned with justice and care for all. I would highly recommend his services if you are able to obtain them.

My wife gave me Divorce papers. I called a few attorneys, one even laughed in my face telling me I would get nothing. I called Cohen & Winters. I spoke with Andrew for about 1/2 hour. I felt very comfortable with what he said. About a week later, I met with Mary. She explained how the law works and how it is a division of assets and NOT based on gender. (I thought I would have a hard time because I am male and my EX has more $$ than me.) It took almost exactly one year. Mary was always there to answer questions. And I would get emails once a week or every other week keeping me informed of what was going on. More than once Mary would tell me, "I am here to guide you. You tell me what you want from this and I will try to make it happen." The communication and support that I received from Mary and her help (Teri) at Cohen & Winters was/is outstanding.
