Beware! I used Michelle to prep and file my business taxes. I have used Incite for more than 5 years. I run two small business. Michelle organized my taxes incorrectly resulting in an audit. The IRS did not accept how she put my distributions and a few other errors, resulting in over 60,000 owed. 20,000 was just penalties. If you think it was my wrongdoing, check this out. I was able to get the penalties removed by proving to the IRS that Michelle told me this was correct years prior. 2020 taxes I owed more than 2019 by a lot. I asked Michelle why and her response was "in 2019 I put your distributions low so you would owe less but now that's being audited." Well of course 2019 taxes were flagged by the IRS. Fast forward to the audit, Mitchelle told me you are going to owe no matter what. If the IRS is auditing you, you will owe. That did not sit right. I paid you for years to file my taxes correctly and I trusted this to be true. She also told me never speak to the auditor; that she will handle the IRS. After months of going through an audit, The IRS made adjustments, I owed a few thousand each business each year, plus interest and penalties. Michelle said nothing could be done. She said that she told the auditor I gave you wrong information in regard to distributions in hopes of getting penalties removed but the auditor dismissed. Well, I called the auditor. The auditor said no such conversation happened and if I have emails proving I got misleading info they will remove fees. I did have emails. I sent them over and the IRS removed $20,000 in fees and penalties. The auditor apologized for how bad my CPA handled my taxes. Unfortunately, they could not remove the interest. I could go on and on, from emails taking a week to respond to, charging me to handle my audit even though Incite prepared my taxes poorly. Lied to about representation. I had to take a loan out of my mortgage to pay. I paid this company thousands of dollars a year to have peace of mind. You would think hiring a CPA would alleviate risk. I would have been better off filing myself. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY

Working with Incite Tax has been a fantastic journey, all thanks to Melissa Helms! Whenever I’ve had a question, she gets back to me in no time, and her explanations are always so clear and easy to follow. I truly trust her and feel confident that she’s always looking out for my best interests.

You asked for a review, so here it is. I do not recommend using this company. They consistently take 3–5 days to respond to even simple emails. The tax professional assigned to me seemed inexperienced — when I asked about Real Estate Professional (REP) status, he incorrectly stated that my on-call hours would count toward my W-2 job. That is false according to established tax court case law. When I asked about cost segregation and bonus depreciation, he dismissed it as “too expensive and not worth it,” which is completely inaccurate. If done properly, these strategies can be extremely beneficial in the first year of owning a self-storage facility. They also continued charging me for multiple months after I cancelled. In the mastermind group I’m part of, several others reported the same experience — slow communication, poor service, and bad advice across the board. If you’re in real estate, I recommend finding a firm that specializes in it — not a data-entry CPA who doesn’t even look up case law.

Last year was MY first time having Incite Tax do my taxes and I was really nervous and scared because I never heard of them until I bought mentorships and my current mentors recruited Incite Tax to all clients. Incite Tax is very organized, great communication skillz, keep you posted at all times on the tax processing. Great people over all. The onboarding gets you settled and they make you feel like they got your back. PLUS last year I received the biggest REFUND IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! THANK YOU INCITE TAX.
