Jewitte has handled both of our adoptions, and we could not be happier with the outcome and the communication throughout the process. She was very knowledgeable, and I would recommend her for anyone with a family law issue.

If you are a family in need of an adoption attorney, Jewitte Dooley should be your first call. Jewitte and her team were kind, courteous, highly responsive and handled our adoption matter in a timely and efficient way despite coronavis delays. Our children will all get to start school with the same last name and it's all thanks to Jewitte! I would highly recommend her firm.

Edit/ Update below : I’ve been a client for over a year and haven't been happy with the service I have received. For starters, I was recommended to Jewitte so that's who I made an appointment with. When I got to my first appointment, however, Cable Poag came out. I should have spoken up then and I didn't. I was pleased with my first and second visit, but the communication throughout my process and the timeliness was lacking severely. There would be months with no communication unless initiated by me (which I was then charged for). We were told that we would have our first hearing around December. We weren't notified until March 19 about our hearing in April! This was exactly a month from the time our year was up! When the year was up and still had no court date in sight, I decided to start calling to check on the status of my case. I felt like I was again being put on the back burner, not being responded to, etc. Meanwhile, I'm now getting several months of bills for things I shouldn't have even had charges for because I'm having to call or email and check the status of the case. My retainer should have been more than enough to cover all expenses of this easy divorce (with maybe even a refund). On July 2nd, I had finally had enough and had a 19 minute phone call with Cable to discuss my unhappiness with the way things have been handled. He was going to talk to Jewitte and get back to me with a resolution. It's now been a month and 3 days later and I haven't heard a single word. Meanwhile, a friend of mine that started her process 3 months after me got a court date the day her year was up and will be finalized before mine. If this is how "simple" proceedings go, I'd hate to see what happens with the complicated ones. I really thought about visiting the location in person and discussing my grievances with them privately but decided this would be the best forum. I feel like I've given them plenty of opportunities to make this situation right. Why should I put myself anymore than I already have for the past year? After learning of my dissatisfaction, Jewitte reaches out promptly to discuss a possible solution. She remained in constant communication on her personal time and made sure I was kept well informed and satisfied. She went above and beyond to make sure I had the absolute best experience after her take over of my case. Lesson learned: use the firm but make sure Jewitte is the one representing your case.
