Megan K. Paull — A Thoughtful and Respected Family Law Attorney My experience with Sherwood Family Law’s intake process was thoughtful, professional, and handled with genuine care, and I want to specifically recognize Megan K. Paull. From the first communication, the intake team took time to understand my situation rather than rushing the process. Elyse and Rebeca were responsive, respectful, and attentive over several days of communication. They asked detailed questions, followed up when needed, and made sure they had a clear picture of my goals and concerns before discussing next steps. What stood out to me was the firm’s emphasis on clarity and fit. There was no pressure to move forward or to make immediate decisions. Instead, the focus stayed on understanding the circumstances and explaining options in a straightforward, transparent way. That approach made the process feel professional and respectful. Based on my interactions and research during this process, Megan K. Paull is widely regarded as a knowledgeable and professional family law attorney. Her experience and reputation were a meaningful factor in my positive impression of the firm, and she is someone I would encourage others to consider if seeking representation. Even without formally retaining the firm, I appreciated the time, communication, and care shown throughout the intake process. It was a positive experience that reflects a client-focused approach and thoughtful practice.
A great firm! Dan Strausbaugh was fantastic through my entire divorce. I felt I was represented well and fairly. Dan listened to my concerns and Shelby walked me through the odds and ends. My divorce process lasted about 8 months, and I was taken care of every step of the way with excellent communication. There was never a moment where I didn't know what was expected on my end, and there were no surprise fees. Should I ever plan to marry again, I'll be back to draft prenuptial agreements. And should that marriage also fail, I'll be back again!
Sherwood Lawyers represented me through a very difficult divorce settlement which lasted around 18 months. Their professional expertise and knowledge guided me through some difficult and stressful situations. Dan, ably supported by Shelby provided the legal guidance and support that ultimately ended in a suitable settlement even though the opposing party proved to be difficult and unco-operative throughout.
DO NOT RETAIN SHERWOOD FAMILY LAW. Especially Megan Paull. They will nickle and dime you every step of the way. Don’t be surprised to spend more than double their retainer fee. Hard to get ahold of your attorney. When it came to trial (we had more than a year to prepare since it was during Covid) - she didn’t even cross examine my ex (not a single question) who at the time was in probation for a violent felony he had committed. Megan Paull did so weak in representing me, my ex and his attorney won favor with the court. About $20,000 later paying Megal Paull for nothing (she literally sat there in trial, had hardly any questions for the opposing side) and my ex’s attorney fees and now just retained a new attorney this year to fix what should of been done back in 2022. Found out from my current attorney that she had heard that Megan Paull might be or is getting disbarred and honestly I am not surprised at all. Don’t risk the lives of your family and your children with this place, you will regret it like I did.
I was represented in my divorce by Sherwood Family law. I am going on record here that from the beginning to the end, a relationship of almost two years, I was dealt with unwavering professionalism, respect, courtesy, and kindness in all regard. Their office, and the way they collectively conduct their in office culture is spot on. To draw a finner line I worked with legal assistants Carrie Sprout, largley, and to a smaller degree Shelby Arthur. Both good at their jobs, always professional and patient and informative when needed. The attorney I collaborated with was Michael Hallas. He is a good person and attorney. When ask a question it was always answered in a manner that I could understand. He was a human first and lawyer second. I felt he at all times had a handle on my case with my rights represented with intellect and compassion. He always made himself available to me. In the end I hope I never need his formidable skill set again. I also hope that there is a day that we could get togther, untethered, and have a chat and catch up on our lives circumstance.
