I hired Tabatha Castro for a very serious custody matter involving my young child, and unfortunately, I regret that decision. Despite paying a $7,700 retainer upfront, not a single motion was filed on my behalf. No emergency filings. No custody filings. No requests related to therapy or safety concerns. Nothing. Because of this, I was forced to appear pro se at a critical hearing. Even the judge questioned why my attorney had not filed anything given the seriousness of the issues involved. I had no answer, because there truly was none. During an in-person meeting on 10/1/25, I provided detailed information, including videos related to my child’s disclosures. I expected immediate action focused on my child’s safety, specifically getting her back into play therapy. Instead, most of the discussion centered on “winning the case” at some later point. No urgent action followed, and no filings were made after that meeting. The billing practices were equally troubling. Over $3,000 of my retainer was billed primarily for emails. Many sent within minutes of each other at amounts that do not reasonably align with the time required to write them. I was also billed separately for an email that was drafted during a two-hour in-person meeting I was already billed $1,000 for. The billing felt excessive and inconsistent, especially given that no substantive legal work or filings were produced. I terminated representation on 11/6, after approximately ten or so email exchanges and zero filings. I was ultimately refunded $2,415, leaving thousands taken with no meaningful action performed on my custody case. I later hired another attorney who provided more guidance and clarity in a 30-minute consultation than I received during my entire time with this firm. For anyone navigating a sensitive custody matter, particularly one involving child safety, I strongly recommend thinking very carefully before hiring this firm. My experience lacked urgency, diligence, and meaningful advocacy. It felt like billing without results.

Tabatha Castro, Esq., and the entire Castro Team has been amazing during this very emotional and trying time. She is a beast in the courtroom and definitely grateful she is on MY side. It's been a long battle but it has finally come to an end due to Ms. Castro's extreme diligence and professionalism. If you want someone who will defend you and your child(ren) to the extreme, use Ms. Castro and the Castro Team. Top notch representation!!!!!

What a disgrace of a lawyer and a disgrace of a woman! I am the victim of documented domestic violence and this woman represented my abuser. She Assisted him in filing for alimony, which was of course denied. She also petition the court to require me to quit the job I’m working at and earn more income to continue to provide my abuser with the lifestyle he was used to living! Of course this was denied as well. You are a disgrace to all women and a disgrace To the power, you have to do the right thing!
