Going through my divorce was one of the most challenging experiences of my life — emotionally, financially, and logistically. It was a high-conflict case filled with unnecessary complications, but Elinor handled every curveball with remarkable poise, intelligence, and strategy. She is everything you hope to find in an attorney: deeply knowledgeable, organized, and unwavering in her integrity. She saw through manipulation and distraction instantly, kept the process grounded in facts, and protected my interests and my children’s well-being every step of the way. Elinor’s combination of professionalism and empathy is rare. She knew when to be fierce and when to be compassionate — and somehow always managed to keep me calm, informed, and empowered even in the most stressful moments. If you’re facing a complex or high-conflict divorce, you need someone like Elinor. She’s sharp, steady, and committed to achieving a fair and lasting outcome. I’m forever grateful to have had her in my corner — and I recommend her without hesitation.

Brooke French was amazing! She helped me keep my cool, guided me through the process, and helped me focus on what was important. After 12 months w/o child support of trying to get my custody papers resolved independently with my ex, I decided to stop doing what I thought was best to whatever Brooke knew was best. It was a great decision. Within 6 weeks the papers were signed as a settlement and submitted to the court. Moreover, the conditions gave me and my daughter more support and respect than what the courts could have mandated on their own. It was amazing. Best advice I can give is to fire yourself as a mediator and hire a GOOD lawyer (like Brooke). Worth every $G. P.S. yes, it's a lot of up-front expense, but I will (personally) break even after 1-2 years of support that Brooke got for me. So don't think about it and just do it. Once the papers are signed, the stability is amazing and really helps the co-parent relationship settle. Thanks, Brooke!

Elinor was a tremendous, kind help during a hard day. I appreciated her humane and realistic approach to finding a solution. Her candor and understanding of what motivates people and likely alternative outcomes was extremely appreciated. If I ever need mediation again, I would return to her.

Elinor Hitt was wonderful! Not only is she quite knowledgeable re: family law, as would be expected, she is also a kind and understanding individual. She patiently guided me through my legal issue with kindness and and an excellent feel for how best to frame and discuss elements of my case so that I could understand what my options were and have the information to choose the option I thought was best for me. She is a great listener and always responded in a timely manner to my inquiries.

Elinor Hitt came highly recommended from another lawyer that felt my needs would be a better fit with Elinor. What was suppose to be a simple divorce, like so many, turned out to be unnecessary drag out battle. Once I let Elinor take over and listened to her guidance, the process became much less stressful and turned out better on my behalf than when I had started. I highly suggest working with her and her team as they are professional, understanding, and thorough in the process.
