The Sarmiento Immigration Law Firm is a great immigration firm which I HIGHLY recommend to anyone needing expert advise on immigration matters. Atty. Sarmiento is very knowledgeable and very hands-on with the whole process. He and his team respond in a timely matter which makes everything as stress-free as possible. He has followed my immigration journey since my J2 visa to transitioning over to an F1 student visa. He has helped me acquire a waiver for the two-year foreign residence requirement from my J2 visa. The consular process was stress free, and the team including Mr. Sarmiento had excellent communication the entire time, but after the interview process, a waiver was needed and I was referred to a different Immigration lawyer who was supposed to be " experienced in that type of process" only to find out that the I-130 application for my family member shouldn't even have been filed at all since he doesn't have any of the qualifiers for a waiver. I was beyond myself that Mr. Sarmiento made me go through the entire process, and pay all the fees knowing this application had no basis for approval. This was a total scam from their end, because obviously any immigration process is super expensive. Please be careful and get all the information you need to process anything through them so you don't loose out like I did.
