Reviews
This law firm is so shady. I have recorded conversations with their staff, Shannah Sacco, who CONSISTENTLY gave me instructions for representation. When I got the notice of rights to sue my job to which she instructed me on how to get, she told me I had to be fired from my job in order to be helped BUT then sent an email with something completely unrelated to the phone conversation. I told her that’s not what she said on the phone in email but she had never respond and still hasn’t. I spoke with other people from Barrett & Farahany looking for directions but the whole time, everyone has been trying to shift blame and make it seem like I got the advice elsewhere. Today, I was emailed by Beth McCubbin, who is the Chief Operating Officer for Barrett & Farahany, claiming I must’ve gotten the advice from elsewhere and that she listen to the phone recording and doesn’t see the advice given. I respond showing her the emails & MULTIPLE phone conversations (with AI summary, recorded audio & transcription of call) to which she doubled down on “it not being their problem”. They’re trying to use the excuse that they’ve declined my case before to which they have but they DID say if the case grows to reach out to which I did. When I reached out, I was given the instruction from Shannah Sacco several times in order to be represented but was still turned away in the end. Now I have a timing down Notice of Rights to letter without an attorney when other attorney are telling me to return back to the attorney that gave the advice because they would’ve taken it in another direction. Barrett & Farahany has made a bad situation a nightmare AND will refuse to take responsibility for their own wrong doing. I went even as far to ASK Shannah Sacco if the email in the first photo was the answer or are we still going with what we talked about on the phone to which she reassured me (I attached the photos). Not surprise with the current economic climate. I wouldn’t trust Best Lawyers because obviously something’s wrong or they just bought their place like everyone else in corporate America. They WILL cause chaos and not care because, why should they answer for the problems they cause?
Jeff handled my intake call and was genuinely respectful, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. He took the time to listen, explained things clearly, and made sure I understood the process without ever making me feel rushed or dismissed. Speaking with him was reassuring during a stressful situation, and I truly appreciated his professionalism and empathy. He’s a great first point of contact and represents the firm very well.
Laura. That’s all I really need to say. LAURA. But since I have a moment, let me add a little context. I was searching for help with an employment issue and quickly learned a hard truth: when someone insists you come in just to talk—and attaches a $500 non-refundable consultation fee—that’s usually a sign they have zero confidence in your case and are perfectly fine squeezing a few more dollars out of someone who’s already dealing with a tough situation. I find that practice deplorable, but to each their own. That is NOT Laura. Laura spent 30 minutes actually listening to my situation. She gave me an honest assessment—no fluff, no pressure—and then went a step further. She clearly laid out what I should do next: A, B, and C. No invoice. No sales pitch. Just real guidance. Who does that anymore? If more attorneys operated with Laura’s level of integrity and professionalism, the legal profession wouldn’t carry the reputation it so often does. So if you remember nothing else from this review, remember this: LAURA. Enough said.
Hi Barrett & Farahany, I wanted to follow up briefly after seeing your recent response to my Google review. I appreciate you taking the time to address the situation and provide clarification. I have removed my review, as the matter is now closed on my end. The original concerns occurred quite some time ago, and the window for any potential action in my case has since passed. Thank you for acknowledging my feedback and for the steps your firm has taken to improve communication moving forward. I wish you and your team continued success. Best regards, K.Minor
I was very pleased with Barrett & Farahany website which allowed me to put information concerning to see if I might have a case with their firm. Alyssa from the law firm contacted me by phone to asked me additional questions concerning my workplace issue. She was very professional and pleasant to deal with on the phone. She also explained the next steps they will take to reviewing I have a case
